The RPA 300 was originally developed over 30 years ago for testing power steering gear boxes. Today Kaufman Products has further developed this tester to test both power steering gear boxes and power rack and pinions. The tester is built with all the same parts (motor, pump, valves, filters, etc) as the RPA 1000. The tester comes with over 20 different hydraulic test fittings for domestic and import gears. The fittings screw directly into the steering gear to insure the threads/fittings are in good shape. There are hydraulic disconnects attached to the fittings for ease of use in connecting and disconnecting to the tester hoses. The RPA 300 comes with the RPF 547 rack and pinion vise for holding all rack and pinions during testing. This is an affordable yet reliable steering gear tester for the small to medium sized rebuilder who wants to ensure the gears he is building and selling are quality rebuilt and tested.
