Job Shop Sleeve Installers |
$150.00 |
After boring a steering gear housing, a steel sleeve must be installed to bring the machined housing back to its original size. The steel sleeves used to resize the bore are supplied with predrilled port holes.
These sleeve installers do not radially locate the sleeve. The operator must do this before the sleeve is pressed in with the sleeve installer. Since the port holes in the sleeves are slotted, a slight misalignment radially will not affect the performance of the gear after it is sleeved. Again, we recommend the RAP 500 sleeve press for installing the sleeves. The following economy sleeve installers are available.
SI 100 | Corporate Ford type |
SI 110 | Late Ford type with stepped bore |
